Why isn t my Oral-B braun toothbrush working? ›

First thing to do is check that the power outlet you are using is working as it should. If it's attached to a bathroom cabinet, for example, the light switch on the cabinet may need to be switched on to power the socket. Be sure you're charging for the full time noted in the manual.

A noticeable decrease in battery life or difficulty in holding a charge suggests that your electric toothbrush may need replacement.

Are Braun and Oral-B the same? ›

What does the red light mean on Oral-B electric toothbrush? ›

If the red light is near the bottom of the handle, this could be the low battery indicator (PRO 1000 and above). It lights up when it's time to charge your toothbrush, as there is only enough power left in the battery for 1 or 2 more brushes.

As a rule, it's safe to leave your toothbrush on the charger. The charging stand serves two purposes. The first is to provide a place for the toothbrush to sit when it's not being used. Secondly, it's a quick and convenient way of recharging when the battery is low.

Can I leave my Oral-B electric toothbrush charge overnight? ›

How often should I replace my electric toothbrush? ›

In conclusion, the lifespan of your electric toothbrush depends on a variety of factors, but with proper care, it should last anywhere from three to five years.
