But ofcourse, I do have some favorite apple desserts that aren’t healthy, which Ilove to make each fall too! ClassicApple Crisp is the perfect fall dessert. Warm it up, or eat it hot out-of-the-oven,and top it with ice cream and a bit of whipped cream—so good! And for a bit of a twist on an apple dessert, try thisApple Pie Pizza! While not super-healthy, it is topped withcheese, so you get some calcium—and it is an absolutely kid-friendly dessert tomake!

But enough talk about classic apple desserts. If you are like me, you are always searching for ways to make things a bit healthier… these desserts will do just that! Lots of flavor, but made with natural sweeteners, are vegan or gluten free, or maybe just a little less fat and calories. I also want to make sure to get some of the wonderful health benefits of eating apples, so focusing on using them in dishes that don’t drown them out with sugar is important to me.
